Welcome to the belly of the whale! I am a wife as well as a mom to an amazing son with autism. My poetry has been published by Calla Press and I am a writer for Her View from Home. My blog posts are mainly about motherhood, specifically as it pertains to being a Christian and raising a son with special needs, and my overall faith walk. I identify with Jonah. When I face difficulties, I tend to run in the other direction. Progress for me tends to involve struggle. It is only in the belly of the whale that I get quiet enough to hear God’s voice preparing me for the good works He has called me to complete. I hope these stories and posts give you encouragement that no matter what we are up against, even if it is our own pride, God is bigger and He loves us beyond what we can imagine.
